In this blog I share my Internet Marketing experience, my tips & tricks. Maybe even more valuable – I share my biggest mistakes and what methods didn’t work for me. If I wasted time and resources, why should you have to go through the same? I am sure you will make some on your own Considering my background it might be stating the obvious but to be clear: I hate the hype (and sometimes straight out lies) that you find in the internet marketing / make money online field. There is no need for that and you won’t find it here.

My online experience goes back to 1994 when I started grad school which gave me acces to this new cool thing called the World Wide Web. It was the time when the first Internet browsers were released which are now such a big part of our lifes. The same year I set up my first website.

While I used the internet on a daily basis for my research and always had my private websites it took me until 2003 to realize that I could use the WWW for something very different: to sell products and make money online.

I started out by selling t-shirts of unique (well, geeky) designs and prints of my photography. It was fun and the occasional sale was exciting but I didn’t take it serious for years. I simply enjoyed the designing aspect and technical work of setting it up but never followed through with seriously marketing the sites.

In 2006/2007 I went through a very rough patch in all aspects of my life – personal, professional, and financial. Unemployed and out of money I unexpectedly received a commissions check from a site that was selling my caffeine molecule t-shirts and mugs. I had not touched this site since the initial setup years earlier but somehow my products were among the featured designs of the week which caused a nice spike in income. It was then when I started to grasp the true power and opportunities that were in front of me – the opportunity that an internet based business offers…

Fortunately this phase of my life is over but since this time I am addicted to internet marketing and made it my goal to have a solid income from my online ventures. Never EVER do I want to be dependend on a single income stream again.

Today I work in the biotech industry, offer photography services to a few select clients, and consult local small business owners in aspects of internet marketing. At the same time I am setting up products in several online niche markets. Unlike so many others, my goal is not really to quit my day job (I actually enjoy it) but to be entirely independed and truely free. Besides of better taking care of my family I want to be able to better support charities and ventures I believe.
